Gabbar Singh broke the biggest flop streak of Pawan Kalyan back then and Harish Shankar made it so well that it deserved the applause it recieved. The fact remains true that no other movie of Pawan Kalyan is as big a hit as Gabbar Singh in recent times. Now that Harish Shankar is directing Pawan Kalyan for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the expectations went up so high.
It is obvious that movie buffs draw comparisons between the two films for the reasons, Pawan Kalyan, Harish Shankar, and the cop story in common. But off late it is being observed that the director Harish Shankar seems to be treating the movie Ustaad Bhagat Singh as a successor to Gabbar Singh, if not a sequel.
First, it was that pre-look with tea glass and now it is the rumored glimpse that will be launched on the release date of Gabbar Singh, 11th May. According to the reports, the glimpse is sure to have ties with Gabbar Singh.
The actual sequel of Gabbar Singh was directed by Bobby with the title Sardaar Gabbar Singh and it went on to become one big disaster. Maybe Harish Shankar wants to give his Ustaad Gabbar Singh the advantage of Gabbar Singh’s success or he must be making an unofficial sequel to that. In both cases, Harish Shankar appears to be filling the Gabbar Singh feels all around Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
For now, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is a completely different film and one has to wait and see what it actually is.
