Pulling off success with female-oriented films is not an easy task. Only a few heroines like Vijayashanti, Nayanthara and Anushka achieved stardom with their lady-oriented flicks. Many other heroines tried to get to that position but couldn’t. One of them is Trisha.
Trisha is one of the star heroines in South India who is in showbiz for the last two decades. She has many hits in her career and also enjoys a massive fan following. She also tried her luck with female-oriented films but failed to score a hit.
Trisha’s every lady-oriented movie ended up as a huge flop at the box office. To break the jinx, she is now coming up with a new movie titled The Road. On the occasion of Trisha’s birthday, the makers released a making video of this movie.
The Road is based on a real incident that happened in the 2000s. It traces the story of a young lady who seeks vengeance after a deadly road accident.
Directed by debutant Arun Vaseegaran, The Road features Shabeer Kallarakkal, Santhosh Prathap, Miya George, M. S. Bhaskar and Vela Ramamoorthy in other key roles. AAA Cinemas is bankrolling the project. The release details of this movie will be announced soon. Meanwhile, we have to see if Trisha can score a big hit with this movie and score her first success with a female-oriented film.
