The pre-look poster of #VD12, released on the occasion of Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday, has created a buzz among fans and movie enthusiasts alike. The poster features a quote from an anonymous spy, sparking curiosity and hinting at the film’s intriguing storyline. Furthermore, the poster’s unique design has captured widespread attention.
However, some users on Twitter have drawn a parallel between the #VD12 pre-look poster and the poster of the Hollywood film Argo (2012), suggesting similarities with slight modifications. This comparison quickly gained traction and caught the attention of the film’s producer, Naga Vamsi, who was tagged in numerous tweets accusing him of copying the design.
Responding to the allegations, producer Naga Vamsi took to Twitter to address the situation and urged people to understand the context before passing judgment. He explained that the concept of shredding or stripping identities is a well-established trope in spy films, with a history dating back to secret agencies. He requested individuals to refrain from making hasty judgments without a proper basis. In his tweet, he wrote, “Before jumping on to the bandwagon of tags, it’s better to understand the context. Shredding or stripping identities concept is as old as the secret agencies. Kindly, refrain from temptations of passing judgment without proper basis. #VD12.”
#VD12 marks Vijay Deverakonda’s first foray into the spy thriller genre, adding excitement among his fans. The film is helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for his work on the critically acclaimed movie ‘Jersey.’ Sreeleela has been cast as the female lead opposite Vijay Deverakonda, and the film features music composed by Anirudh.
With #VD12 being a highly anticipated project, fans are eagerly awaiting further updates and the release of the film.
