The popular heroine in movies such as Gudumba Shankar starring Pawan Kalyan, Bhadra with Ravi Teja, and Yuva featuring Madhavan, has a large fan base despite her absence from the spotlight. Meera Jasmine has established herself as one of the very few leading ladies in Indian cinema to maintain this level of staying power.
Meera Jasmine is returning to the Tamil film industry with Y Not Studios ‘Test’, marking the directorial debut of producer Sashikanth and starring R. Madhavan in the lead role. This bilingual project will feature both Telugu and Tamil audiences, given Madhavan’s wide-reaching stardom.
Fans are especially excited to see Meera and Madhavan back together onscreen – their first joint project was in 2002 with Run, and then again for Mani Ratnam’s cult movie Yuva in 2004. After two decades, audiences will have a chance to see these two veterans once more!
Starring Madhavan, Nayanthara, Siddharth, Kaali Venkat and others, ‘Test’ is an upcoming cricket-based movie. Singer Shaktishree Gopalan is making her debut as the film’s music director. Filming is progressing smoothly and the release date has been tentatively set for late 2024 or early 2024.
