Liger is one of the biggest disasters in recent times. The movie not just garnered huge criticism, but triggered a controversy after exhibitors started demanding compensation for the losses incurred due to the movie.
The buyers and exhibitors asked for compensation only a few days after the completion of the theatrical run, but there was no response from Charmme and Puri Jagannath. The exhibitors went on to register a case against Puri Jagannath after the latter reportedly warned them in a leaked phone call. There was no update later and the exhibitors recently launched an intense protest after Puri and Ram Pothineni’s movie is heard to be announced.
In the latest update, Puri Jagannath and Charmme reportedly agreed to a compromise after the film chamber was involved in resolving the issue. Charmme is heard to have sent an email to the film chamber agreeing to a settlement with exhibitors and vowed to pay for the losses.
The buyers and exhibitors finally ended their protest and said that they are hoping Puri and Charmme address their issues. Also, some of the exhibitors in the protest reportedly got their health deteriorated and the protest is ending considering their health.
It has to be seen how Puri and Charmme are going to settle this matter.
