Nani’s V Vs Rakshasudu BGM: An Interesting Take

Published by

The one major criticism that Thaman faces almost after his every movie release is that he is lifting music from somewhere. Recently the talented star composer has given music for Nani’s V and immediately the talk has come out that he copied the background music of “Ratchasan” movie, which is scored by Ghibran.

For a fact, the sounding of the same instrument that is used in both Ratchasan and V background scores is actually confusing the audiences, which is leading to a belief that Thaman might have copied Ratchasan score. But then, if we listen to both of them clearly and patiently, both are different kinds of music with lots of variations in beats, rhythms, strings and synths. There is no way these two scores are the same, but there could be a possibility that both might have got inspired by the same.

Anyone well versed with the classical music composed by French composer Gabriel Fauré in the late 1800s will find the roots of both V and Ratchasan’s BGM in some songs of the legendary composer. Especially the piano piece ‘Pavane’ found its way into Ratchasan score and looks like that has inspired Thaman as well.

While there are others who brought in the background music of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar as the original that ‘inspired’ both Thaman and Ghibran for V and Ratchasan respectively.
