Bollywood actress Adah Sharma, known for her recent successful film “The Kerala Story,” has become a victim of online harassment as her personal details were leaked by an Instagram user. The actress has been facing criticism ever since the release of the film, which revolves around the sensitive subjects of religious conversions and ISIS.
According to a report by ETimes, an Instagram user leaked Adah Sharma’s personal contact number and even threatened to leak her new number. Although the posts containing this information spread widely on social media, it has been reported that the controversial Instagram account has been removed. Supporters of Adah Sharma have been urging the Mumbai Cyber Cell to take action against the user responsible for the leak.
Adah Sharma has not yet addressed the harassment or the alleged leaked contact number. Instead, she recently celebrated the success of “The Kerala Story,” claiming it to be the first female-led movie in India to gross over Rs 200 million at the box office. She expressed her gratitude to the audience through a thank-you message on Instagram. The film, released on May 5 amidst controversy, joined the coveted Rs 200-crore club on May 22.
In her Instagram post, Adah Sharma shared the movie’s poster and captioned it, “1st Female Film to Cross Net Collection India 200 Cr, without Tamil Nadu & West Bengal.” She also shared pictures of her movie’s supporters holding signs and images taken at the screening.
Adah Sharma expressed her appreciation to the makers of “The Kerala Story,” particularly Vipul sir, who took a significant risk in producing the film without any backing from studios. She also acknowledged the trust placed in her, as the actress who played Bhavana Reddy in the film “Commando,” to portray the character of Shalini Unnikrishnan in “The Kerala Story.”
As of now, Adah Sharma has not made any public statements regarding the harassment and the potential leak of her contact number.
