Like Tarak said at the Oscars, West welcoming Indian cinema is a big move for our filmmakers in the last many decades. Though all the filmmakers are insisting that we call it Indian cinema instead of a cinema based on its language, the trade may not always agree with it.
South cinema has been dominating with the biggest blockbusters like Baahubali, KGF, RRR, and Pushpa in Hindi among others in the last few years, Bollywood has got only Pathaan that worked wonders. Not many Bollywood filmmakers or actors had the heart to post a congratulatory tweet for RRR when the latter won an Oscar.
Now, that there are more South films coming up with an enormous craze and particularly the two Telugu films Pushpa The Rule and Salaar, Bollywood trade analysts believe that Pathaan’s best records are to be be washed out by these two dinosaurs.
The B-town trade is sure that Allu Arjun’s Pushpa The Rule will break many records effortlessly due to its expectations of it and also the fan base formed for the movie from Pushpa The Rise.
On the other side, Prabhas made his mark with Baahubali in Bollywood, but two of his films after that did not work really well. But with Salaar having Prabhas in the lead role and the KGF maker Prashant Neel directing it, the violence it does at the box office is expected to be gigantic.
