During the promotions of Maha Samudram movie, Tamil hero Siddharth who carved a name for himself as a Telugu hero with his movies like Bommarillu, claimed that his latest film choices will surprise the Telugu audience. But after Maha Samudram shocker, he came up with Takkar movie now and sounded a little different while promoting the film.
Always laced with super confidence, Siddharth maintained that Mahasamudram’s flop show didn’t bother him, and exuded confidence that “Takkar” will become a terrific movie at the box office. He praised highly about the action sequences saying that they have a Hollywood standard and highlighted that the character of the heroine (Divyansha Kaushik) is a real surprise. While the hero’s role is a big bore, the action sequences are ridiculous. And then, the film ended up as messy stuff at the box office, as the slow pace, confused narrative and lack of appeal as well as freshness in the film hit the audience hard.
After watching Takkar, people surely do feel that Siddharth is not super-confident all these days about the movie, but is over-confident about the content. While the hero felt that all those acts he has done in the film are new, they actually look like a mashup of many other movies, while he himself doesn’t fit the bill as a mass hero. One wonders why Siddharth promoted the film aggressively and sounded very over-confident if not to grab the attention of the audience somehow.
