VJ Sunny, the winner of Bigg Boss Telugu season 5, has shifted his focus to the silver screen with his latest film, ‘ Unstoppable.’ However, the movie received negative reviews from critics, disappointing the high expectations associated with it. Diamond Ratnababu directed the film, featuring Sapthagiri in a key role.
Expressing his discontent, VJ Sunny addressed the matter during a press conference related to the film. He shared, “I watched the movie ‘Unstoppable’ with my friends because they are the ones who will tell us the truth if we make any mistakes. When we asked them about the film, they said they enjoyed it. Everyone has their mindset regarding watching films, and we cannot fault them for that.”
Sunny added, “Review writers express their opinions from their perspective. But we believed in our film. Some movies may sell, and others may not. I appreciate anything positive. Cinema is entertainment for all of us. I have many friends in the media who know me well, and they all said that the movie was good.”
He further elaborated on the challenges of filmmaking, stating, “Making a movie is no joke. Meanwhile, some sit in air-conditioned rooms, wielding their pens to write whatever they like. That’s not fair, my friend. Even if we can’t help ten people, let’s not harm them. Many people are not familiar with directing or operating cameras. If we don’t know the intricacies of being a set boy, why should we care about what is being written? This is not just about me; I am speaking on behalf of many people who believed in this film. My only request to the audience is not to listen to such critics. Listen to yourself. Just because someone has given a review doesn’t mean it’s the final verdict.”
VJ Sunny challenged the review writers to make a film by expressing his displeasure.
However, it looks like Sunny became over-enthusiastic when given the mike, and he delivered all his frustration once and all. Ironically, he could not understand that cinema works because of content and not reviews.
