Months ago when the first trailer of Adipurush got released, fans are worried about the poor quality visual effects of the film, while other neutral movie admirers complained if Prabhas, Om Raut and others will do justice to the epic Ramayana. But the second trailer cleared lots of doubts and now the earth-shattering ongoing opening-day bookings are proof of that. But it looks like some folks are still upset with Adipurush.
There is this particular social media handle named ‘Lost Temples’ (525K followers on Twitter) which is followed by a horde of celebs and BJP leaders including the likes of PM Narendra Modi. The micro-blogging page shares a lot about temples of India and the Hindu culture as well. They have now shocked everyone by tweeting something that is hurting Adipurush’s admirers. Sharing the screenshots from Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana TV series, the handle wrote, “Nothing can ever come close to this”. And that post has hurt many admirers of the handle as they have criticised the handle for posting something like this just before Adipurush’s release.
Even star director Harish Shankar felt upset with the post as he responded, tweeting, “No one ever doubted “Ramayan”; yet its very sad to see sacred handle like ‘Lost Temples’ posting this just before the release of Adipurush .. “unity’ is also part of Sanatan Dharm” (sic).
As the handle happens to be a staunch Hinduism activist and supporter of the religion, one wonders why they are trying to splash mud on Adipurush indirectly. All said and done, the Prabhas starrer is going to make almost ₹35+ crores nett from the Bollywood box office alone on its opening day.
