The highly anticipated trailer for “The Archies”, which will be released straight on Netflix, has finally been released. It’s no surprise that this film has been making headlines ever since it was announced, as it features debut performances from star kids like Suhana Khan, daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan. And also it has Khushi Kapoor (younger daughter of the late Sridevi), and Agastya Nanda (the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan).
What’s interesting if we go by trailer is that more and more people are breaking away from the traditional format of trailers, with less focus on dialogue, songs, fights and endings. In fact, director Zoya Akhtar has taken a creative approach with the trailer cut for The Archies, proving that innovative ideas can leave a lasting impression on audiences. However, Suhana hasn’t left any special mark with the trailer, as her character arc is not established though she has a good screen presence.
The trailer opens with a glimpse of young boys and girls enjoying life. With its playful energy and emotional depth, director Zoya Akhtar seems to have delivered yet another captivating piece of cinema. Set in the fictional hillside town of Riverdale in 1964, the film feels both familiar and fresh. From rock n’ roll music to friendship, love, and heartbreak, ‘The Archies’ promises an energetic and emotionally charged experience that audiences won’t soon forget.
The vibrant costumes and retro sets perfectly capture the nostalgia of days gone by. Despite being students, the characters seem to have their share of thrilling outdoor adventures. The background score also adds to the film’s appeal with its melodious tune leaving us eagerly anticipating its final album release.
