Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar teaser was released today. Right from the announcement, Bholaa Shankar has been facing negativity due to it being an eight-year-old Vedalam remake and the director Meher Ramesh’s track record. The teaser that came out today is attracting mixed reactions from all over.
The teaser has the Kolkata background with a hidden agenda of Bholaa Shankar who takes down 33 people quietly. There are glimpses of sister Keerthy Suresh, lawyer girlfriend Tamannah, and Sushanth. The teaser hints at the story of why Bholaa Shankar comes to Kolkata and what is it that he has to do with the villain Tharun Arora.
Well, the teaser claims the ‘vintage Chiru’ vibes for the most. The director did not seem to have changed the original version much and the villain of Khaidi no 150 is repeated. The teaser appeared like the movie is going to be a regular formula based on dialogues like ‘Haddullev Sarihaddulev’, and ‘Shikaarkochina Sher Ni Bey’ to please the mass fans.
The background music from Mahati Swara Saagar is not very impressive. The teaser is routine with the same old factory fights, colorful building sets in the background, and a Bollywood actor as a monotonous ‘Hindi medium’ villain and the very boring goons in tattoos and leather jackets.
Many on social media are seen commenting that they do not want the cringe show in the name of showing ‘Vintage Chiru’ to fans. Most of all, the Telangana dialect from Chiru is complained as a major misfire. While some blame Chiru’s safe game in the name of ‘remakes’, others blame his choice of ‘commercial’ directors instead of young creative directors.
Now that the teaser garnered mixed reactions, the trailer has to have at least one interesting element out from the so-called commercial formula, otherwise, it might face a huge embarrassment after release.
