Ram Gopal Varma recently unveiled the teaser for the upcoming film Vyuham, which chronicles the political journey of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy following the passing of his father, YS Rajashekar Reddy. The teaser captivated audiences and piqued their curiosity.
However, the teaser has also sparked controversy within political circles. Gidugu Rudhraraju, President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Party, cautioned Varma that the party would not remain silent if Sonia Gandhi is portrayed negatively. Rudhraraju went as far as to make a provocative statement, threatening to publicly shame Varma. He said, “Ram Gopal Varma ni battalu oodadisi kodtham”. He questioned Varma’s understanding of the true events surrounding Jagan’s political journey.
Back then, Jagan sought Sonia’s approval to undertake the “Odarpu Yatra” in order to console grieving families affected by his father’s demise. Sonia suggested that Jagan gather everyone in one location and offer assistance if necessary. However, Jagan disagreed with this approach and subsequently left the Congress party to form his own party, the YSRCP.
Ram Gopal Varma plans to release Vyuham a few months before the elections. It remains to be seen how many political controversies the film will ignite once it hits theatres.
