Project K’s Debut At Comic-Con: What Y’all Need To Know

Published by

Pan-India is pushed to the past now. Our filmmakers and the films are targeting the global audience and stretching their arms towards making prestigious films that are fit for viewing across the world. One of them is undoubtedly the ‘Project K’.

The multi-crore project is heading to the SDCC, the San Diego Comic-Con to make an entrance with exclusive footage at the convention on Thursday, July 20 in a panel called “This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic’. Needless to say, it has A-listers like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan in it.

Along with the revelation of the film’s full title, teaser trailer, and release date, the stars of Project K will also feature in a ‘performance’ in Hall H. There is an opening night party on Wednesday, July 19.

In a statement made by the producers to Variety, ‘This exclusive event will transport guests into India’s most ambitious cinematic universe yet with their captivating storytelling, futuristic setting, and ‘Spice Punk’ aesthetic inspired by the film.’

Film’s director Ashwin said in a statement that the team is thrilled to present ‘Project K’ debut at San Diego Comic-Con. He further said, ‘India’s storytelling tradition has ancient roots, with its epics serving as the origins for many civilizations worldwide. A world as big as this needs a platform as big to introduce it to the people. Comic-Con felt like the perfect place, where the honesty and enthusiasm needed for ‘Project K’ will be found.’

Actor-producer Rana Daggubati recently spoke about Project K and gave a hint about how big the movie is getting. Rana said that he will look forward to Project K and it is going to be a global cinema that is much bigger than Baahubali and RRR, and even break the barriers that the two films could not. And it is not a surprise that Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media is supporting the event and the man is behind Project K going to the prestigious Comic-Con

The SDCC takes place July 20-23.
