Other day after the release of “Salaar” teaser, director Vivek Agnihotri of “The Kashmir Files” targeted it big time through his Twitter. From calling the film to Prabhas (indirectly) as talentless, the director grabbed the attention and also the ire of Prabhas’ fans. But all this happened for a reason if reports are to be believed.
“Now glamourising extreme violence in cinema is also considered talent. Promoting nonsense cinema is considered a bigger talent. Promoting a non-actor as biggest star is considered biggest talent. And assuming audience is super-dumb is mother of all talent”, tweeted Vivek other day, kicking the hornet’s nest.
However, the real fact that is coming out at the moment is that, he’s said to be targeting his next film “The Vaccine War” to hit cinemas on the very same date that Salaar is releasing. Earlier, The Kashmir Files was released on the same day that of Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam back in March this year, and the director might be thinking to repeat the same magic now.
Those who heard this release-date-idea are now commenting that for a director like Vivek who has cashed on the bloodshed that happened in Kashmir valley, surely eating away or at the least trying to clash with Prabhas’ film will be the easy way to grab attention. However, what needs to be seen is, not all films perform like The Kashmir Files and not all will tumble down like Radhe Shyam.
