Buzz: Mixed Talk On Prasads PCX Screen

Published by

Prasads IMAX is a multiplex that is co-owned by the popular LV Prasad group and the erstwhile Government of United AP. This happens to be a popular destination for movie lovers and also media folks to watch the premiere shows and special screenings of various movies every Friday. Here comes an interesting snippet now.

Last time when the movie ‘Flash’ got released, many folks who watched the film on the newly installed Prasads PCX instead of the earlier ‘Large Screen’, have complained that the sound quality is not good, visuals are getting cropped on the curved screen, and so on.

Even now, some movie lovers are said to be not happy with the cropped image on the screen while watching today’s release “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One”. While this is one side, another side, some folks are super happy.

At the special re-release screening of “Interstellar” the other day in Prasads PCX, those who watched the film are raving a lot about the sound quality. At the same time, some moviegoers who did catch up with Mission Impossible are also impressed with the immersive sound quality inside the theatre. They are praising the ultra-clear bass sound experience as they heard audio from under the seats as well as from the top. Some of them watched Interstellar at the same theatre in 2014 and even now in 2023, and felt that the PCX experience is great.

As mixed talk is coming, some complaining about the image and some raving about the sound, we have to wait for some more days to see the final technical review of this newly installed screen.
