One of the most hyped upcoming Tamil films that is all set to take South by storm is none other than Vijay’s Leo. While the star hero’s recent films like Beast haven’t done well, surely the presence of Lokesh Kanagaraj as a director is speaking volumes about this action thriller.
With the director’s previous film “Vikram” doing exceptionally well in Telugu circuits as well, right now popular Telugu production house Sithara Entertainment acquired the theatrical rights of “Leo” for a fancy price.
They are said to have bought the movie for a giant sum of ₹18 crores taking the complete release rights of the movie for the two Telugu states. Guess what, irrespective of the release times, already Sithara is said to have made table profits with this deal. Here goes some interesting details.
The production house is said to have made table profits from Leo already, as they sold Andhra distribution rights for ₹9-10 crores and Ceeded for another ₹4-5 crores. In Nizam, the production house may release the film in collaboration with Dil Raju.
Though this is a dubbing film, the belief in Lokesh Kanagaraj led to many local distributors, buyers, and exhibitors offering fancy rates for the movie, and Sithara is said to have pressed the right buttons. LEO is set for October 19th release as a Dasara treat.
