As expected, Pawan Kalyan graced the pre-release event of BRO and gave the much-needed boost to the film’s promotions. In his speech, Pawan expressed that his passion for films will always be paramount. He stated that he loves movies more than anything else, but his current responsibilities toward society have led him to prioritize his political activities. At the same time, his funny comments about his sister-in-law (Chiranjeevi’s wife) left everyone in splits.
Pawan humorously remarked that he owes his film career to his sister-in-law’s “betrayal.” Initially, Pawan did not intend to become a film industry hero. Instead, he wanted to pursue a simple life and work on a farm. However, his brother Chiranjeevi’s wife, Surekha, believed in him and encouraged him to pursue a movie career.
“That betrayal of hers made me stand today in front of all of you,” said Pawan on a fun note.
Pawan also commended Samudrakhani’s dedication and planning, which allowed the film to be completed in just 21 days, a remarkable feat. He admired the director’s persistence and efficiency in handling the production.
During his speech, Pawan Kalyan humbly acknowledged that while he may not possess the same dancing skills as NTR or Ram Charan or portray powerful characters like Prabhas or devote years to a film like Prabhas and Rana, his love for films and the film industry is no less than theirs.
Furthermore, he expressed concern about the Tamil film industry attempting to limit opportunities for actors from other regions. Pawan Kalyan urged the entire Tamil film industry to embrace talent regardless of origin and support diverse artists’ growth.
Directed by Samuthirakani, the film also features Sai Dharam Tej. BRO is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, with co-production by Vivek Kuchibotla, “Bro” is set to release in theaters worldwide on July 28th.
