Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s films are known for their massive box office openings and solid fan following. However, his upcoming film “Bro” seems to be facing challenges in generating the desired hype ahead of its release on Friday. Usually, a day before the film’s release, we would witness people going crazy in fetching the tickets for the film but still, there are many shows that are yet to get sold out in Hyderabad city.
While the advance bookings are decent, they are not up to the level expected from Pawan’s films. As the film solely relies on Pawan’s charisma, the lackluster teaser and substandard music by SS Thaman may have impacted the overall buzz.
There is a talk that the ongoing rains in the Telugu states could affect the film’s openings and advance bookings, but the low buzz is also adding fuel to the same. Additionally, being a remake directed by a Tamil filmmaker, the film may not have generated as much interest among the regular audience.
So far in Hyderabad city, only 310 shows reported fast filling or sold out among the 470 shows where the bookings have been opened for tomorrow. It is estimated that the film may not collect a big number on the opening day. With the Red alert being issued due to rains in Telangana and the heavy pour may continue for the next two days in the state. In view of the same, the rain may certainly affect the film’s revenue.
Directed by Samutrakani, “Bro” boasts dialogues and screenplay by Trivikram Srinivas. It features Kethika Sharma and Priya Prakash Varrier in significant roles. The film is jointly produced by People Media Factory and Zee Studios.
