Producer Dil Raju, who is contesting for the president of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) and clashing with producer C Kalyan for the post, made shocking comments. Dil Raju said he could become Member of Parliament if he contests the Lok Sabha election. He said he could become MP from whichever party he contests.
Addressing the media, producer Dil Raju said, “I will win as MP if I contest from any political party. But Telugu Film Industry remains my top priority. As none of the senior producers have come forward, I’m contesting for the TFCC president. I’m taking up this post as responsibility toward the Film Industry. I won’t get any crown if I win this post. In fact, I’ll face new challenges and troubles. Still, I’ve come forward for the development and progress of the Telugu Film Industry.”
Commenting on the controversies and clashing with producer C Kalyan for the post, Dil Raju clarified, “There are no controversies or conflicts. We have come forward for the strengthening of the Telugu Film Chamber. The Film Chamber is the supreme body for all the four sectors – Producers, Studio Owners, Distributors and Exhibitors. All the producers who are most-happening and are in top form today are in my panel. Dil Raju’s panel is the Most Active Panel.” Dil Raju expressed confidence of winning the election with record majority.
“In July, small films like Samajavaragamana and Baby have rescued the film industry. The exhibitors have some problems with the governments. To resolve these issues, a Strong Body is needed. We are coming up with a proper plan to solve the problems,” said Dil Raju. Raju said there are systemic changes in the functioning of the film industry after Covid-19 pandemic. He said the film shootings should happen as per the planned schedule. Raju said coordination with the MAA association is needed if any actor or actress face any problem.
“Telugu Film Industry has got a global recognition. The identity has to be strengthened further and taken forward from here. The Telugu Film Chamber has 1560 producers as its members. Of which only 200 are active producers. I urge everyone to exercise their vote for the progress of the film industry,” said Dil Raju.
The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) election is going to take place on 30th July, 2023. The results would be declared by the end of the day tomorrow. All eyes are on the tomorrow’s election.
