Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Bholaa Shankar” is a highly anticipated movie with mixed buzz. From the beginning itself, Bholaa Shankar failed to catch a positive buzz, and with Pawan’s BRO (which is a Tamil remake) not meeting the desired response, there were inhibitions over Bholaa Shankar (a Tamil remake of Vedhalam) performing well at the box office.
Having said and done, despite these concerns, buyers and producers have shown keen interest in Bholaa Shankar. The movie’s theatrical business has reportedly reached up to 90 crores. There is an opinion that the film could have done a little more, considering multiple factors.
Despite some negative aspects, including being a remake of “Vedalam,” Meher Ramesh’s track record, and mixed reviews for Mahathi Swarasagar’s songs, the film’s business calculations are encouraging.T
The film’s overall business seems promising with deals in various regions, as per the latest reports, 13 Cr in Ceded, 37 Cr in Andhra, 25 Cr in Nizam and 15 Cr in the overseas. So, for “Bhola Shankar” to break even, it must surpass the 90 crore share mark.
The entire team, including producer Anil Sunkara, is confident about the movie’s outcome, and they are gearing up for a pre-release event at Shilpa Kalavedika in Hyderabad on the 5th of this month. The official confirmation for the event is yet to be received.
Chiranjeevi, who had actively promoted “Acharya” and “Godfather,” showed some restraint in promotions for “Waltair Veeraya” and increased the pace after its result was out.
As for “Bhola Shankar,” the promotions are yet to gain full momentum, and the team is looking forward to having Keerthy Suresh’s dates for further interviews. Tamannaah and Sushant have already participated in interviews to promote the movie.
The expectations are high, and it remains to be seen if “Bhola Shankar” can overcome the obstacles and turn its enormous potential into box office success.
