Is Jailer A Freemake Of ‘Nobody’?

Superstar Rajnikanth’s latest movie “Jailer”, which is directed by Varun Doctor and Beast movie fame Nelson, is hitting cinemas on August 11th. Other day, the film’s much awaited trailer got released and it received a decent response from his fans. However, it is being said that the film is a freemake of this Hollywood movie if the trailer is anything to go by.

Jailer is the story of a retired person who leads a cool family life with his wife and fully grown-up kids. But when his kids and family fall in trouble, the Superstar’s strong flashback is revealed and he tackles the goons in his style.

This reminds us of nothing but Baasha movie screenplay, but then, the trailer visuals of Jailer look like the film is a Freemake of the Hollywood film “Nobody”. That film deals with the story of a retired FBI assassin, who jumps back into his game after some dacoits enter his house and steal his daughter’s teddy bear. Even Rajni’s Jailer looks pretty same with some comic overtones added to it.

Needless to say, many of Nelson’s movies in the recent past had influences of Hollywood content and we can’t ignore the same regarding Jailer too. However, his comedy writing and trademark entertainment are something that excites the audience, so let’s wait for the film.
