One thing that is eluding Akhil Akkineni in his film career is a successful blockbuster that could make him a bankable hero. After the flop show of “Agent”, the young hero got shocked big time and is not in the mood to make a couple more mistakes in his career in the name of doing commercial films and high-octane action entertainers. Here is what we are hearing.
Reports are now doing rounds that Akhil took the advice of elders from his family and wants to focus on doing more family films rather than regular masala films. He is said to have met director Srikanth Addala recently and the director narrated to him a Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu kind of family story that is entwined with lots of love and comedy too. As Akhil tasted a bit of success with Most Eligible Bachelor earlier, he’s hoping that doing more family films will be helpful for his career. As Addala happens to be that sensible director when it comes to churning out family emotions, surely it will be a good pick for Akhil in case the project materialises.
On the other hand, Srikanth Addala is currently waiting for the release of his first-ever rugged movie “Peddha Kaapu 2” which is a high-octane political entertainer laced with love and emotions, and set in a vintage Godavari backdrop. As the trailer of the film looked promising, surely everyone is expecting that the Brahmotsavam director will bounce back big time.
