Andhra Pradesh state police have booked an attempt to murder case against former CM Chandrababu Naidu. Following the incidents of violence in Angallu village of Kurabalakota Mandal under Thamballapalle constituency in Annamayya district, attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy sections were booked against Chandrbabu Naidu and 20 other TDP leaders. Based on a complaint lodged by Umapathi Reddy, police booked the FIR against the TDP leaders.
The police named Chandrababu Naidu as A1, Devineni Uma as A2, Amarnath Reddy as A3 and Ramgopal Reddy as A4. Apart from these, Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy, Dammalapati Ramesh, Ganta Narahari, Sriram Chinnababu, Pulavarthi Nani were among the 20 others who were booked by the police.
Earlier, TDP chief Chandrababu warned AP police of strict action and filing of private cases against police officials in the courts. He cautioned police to not take law into their hands and warned them not to disobey democracy. While TDP accused YSRCP leaders of using police force against them undemocratically, the ruling government alleged the opposition of inciting violence and provoking for violence to create instability and unrest. The AP government states that there is no compromise in the Law and Order.
