The moment big films approach the Andhra Pradesh government for a ticket hike, most of the time they will be getting the approvals through a special government order in no time. However, in the case of “Bholaa Shankar” it looks like the appeal of the producers hasn’t gone well with the ruling party for obvious reasons.
Rejecting the proposal put up by AK Entertainment to hike the ticket prices of “Bholaa Shankar” which features Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead, AP Govt refused to allow the ticket hikes for the movie.
While the Telangana government allowed Bholaa Shankar for maximum hike, which means that the single screens will sell the ticket at a maximum of ₹177 while multiplexes could charge ₹295, in Andhra Pradesh the film has to limit itself to a maximum of ₹147.5 & ₹177 in single screens and multiplexes respectively.
We have to see what happens in Andhra Pradesh on the day of release and later, with political turmoil taking centre stage. Mega fans are right now hoping that events that happened around Vakeel Saab release will not repeat now. At that time, some theatres screening Pawan Kalyan starrer got seized as they lacked basic sanitation and safety facilities for the audience.
