Mega fans put an earnest request to Chiranjeevi

Published by

Ever since his comeback to the silver screen after a brief stint in politics, Megastar Chiranjeevi has been trying his best to entertain moviegoers by doing crowd-pleasing roles. While films like Khaidi No 150, SyeRaa and Waltair Veerayya thoroughly satisfied his fans, other outings like Acharya and God Father turned out to be a disappointments.

Now, his latest release Bholaa Shankar is likely to be yet another forgettable film in his career because it failed to impress moviegoers on all fronts. The reviews are very discouraging and the word of mouth is also very poor. One question that has been baffling everyone is – What made Chiru accept the remake of Vedalam eight years after its release in Tamil?

Though Chiru tried to convince everyone during the pre-release event that it is not wrong to remake good films like Vedalam, Mega fans are not completely satisfied with his decision. However, many felt that Chiru’s brave decision might pay off after seeing his high confidence in the output during the speech. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

As the film has been getting embarrassing reviews from all quarters, fans are now fully disappointed with Chiru’s decision to remake Vedalam, and that too with a director whose track record is very poor. More than the film’s result, it is Chiru’s love affair with remakes that has been hurting Mega fans to the core. They have been expressing their dissent on social media platforms.

Fans are now putting an earnest request to Chiru to stop doing remakes. Many of his admirers are saying it is time for him to abandon his obsession with remakes and come up with full-length commercial potboilers like Vikram and Jailer.

So, it remains to be seen if Chiru pays heed to his fans’ requests or not. There is a buzz that his next film is a remake of Malayalam movie Bro Daddy. However, there is no official confirmation on it so far.
