More than the theatrical excitement, this Sunday (Aug 13), Telugu audiences are having a blast of entertainment from the comfort of their homes itself. With a bunch of films hitting the OTTs on the weekend, they are embracing them all with warmth while theatrical releases like Meagstar’s Bholaa Shankar and Srisimha’s Ustaad disappointed them big time.
The first pick of many home audiences from Telugu households at the moment is Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush’. Despite the criticism surrounding visual effects, many are actually enjoying this film to the core along with their kids and aged persons in the family. They are reliving the times of Ramayana and feeling proud to learn a bit about Hindu culture and the greatest man in their history.
Cut to other folks, political content-loving audiences are relishing in the serious thriller Mamannanan featuring Vadivelu, Uday Stalin and Fahad Fasil in the leads. At the same time, commercial film-loving audiences are enjoying Siva Karthikeyan’s Maaveeran. Apart from these, action-loving folks are rejoicing with Alia Bhatt’s debut Hollywood flick “Heart of Stone”, which features Gal Gadot in the leading role. Also the web series ‘Made In Heaven’ became the pick of urbane audiences who would love to see rich weddings and emotional trauma. Also, the Malayalam rom-com Padmini is grabbing the attention of a few audiences who love to watch such slow comedies.
In all likelihood, Telugu audiences have stuck to their OTT accounts this weekend as good entertainment came straight to their homes. Sorry theatres!
