Politics Apart, Superstar is Supestar!

Published by

Superstar Rajinikanth’s last major hit was the science fiction film “Robo,” and all his subsequent releases have struggled to live up to the immense expectations. Despite the disappointing performances of his last three films, “Petta,” “Darbar” and “Annaatthe,” Rajinikanth remained a superstar.

In recent times, Rajinikanth’s films have faced criticism for not achieving the desired levels of success, leading some to suggest that his films lacked proper openings and failed to create the excitement that they once did among fans. As a result, the fervor among Rajinikanth’s admirers has appeared to wane.

Adding to the mix is Rajinikanth’s political involvement and his participation in the NTR centenary celebrations, where he faced opposition from the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh.

The YSRCP leaders, including Kodali Nani, expressed strong dissent and resentment towards Rajinikanth. This situation escalated when these YSRCP leaders called Rajini ‘Pakodi’ and gave other names.

In the midst of these political dynamics, interestingly, the release of Rajinikanth’s recent film “Jailer” has brought a twist to the narrative. “Jailer” managed to make a significant impact at the box office, garnering strong collections and resonating with audiences. The film’s success has left detractors and naysayers surprised, as they underestimated Rajinikanth’s influence.

Despite claims that “Jailer” might only be average in terms of content, the film’s box office performance has shattered those assumptions. This success, combined with the film’s release in Telugu and its strong collections in Andhra Pradesh, has left political leaders who is opposing Rajinikanth, taken aback.

Need to say that the film’s triumph has undoubtedly caught the attention of political leaders who couldn’t do anything rather than silently accepting that Rajinikanth is the real superstar, both on the screen and off the screen.
