Megastar Chiranjeevi has recently faced a setback in his professional life. His latest film, “Bholaa Shankar,” directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Anil Sunkara, was a major disaster, marking a significant low point in Chiranjeevi’s career.
Amid the promotions of “Bholaa Shankar,” Chiranjeevi announced his involvement in two upcoming film projects. One of these films is set to be directed by Kalyan Krishna, with his daughter Sushmitha producing the comedy entertainer under Goldbox Entertainment.
The other project is helmed by Vasishtha, known for the film “Bimbisara,” and is set to be a socio-fantasy film backed by the production house UV Creations.
However, following the disappointing reception of “Bholaa Shankar” and considering the changing landscape of the OTT era, where remakes face skepticism, Chiranjeevi is reportedly reevaluating his decisions. The film with Director Kalyan Krishna, originally planned to start immediately and release for Sankranthi next year, is now under reconsideration, say the speculations.
Sources close to the project suggest that the official announcement, initially slated for Chiranjeevi’s birthday on August 22nd, might be delayed as the actor takes the time to review the project thoroughly.
Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that acclaimed filmmakers AR Murugadoss or VV Vinayak will collaborate with Chiranjeevi.
