In a bittersweet turn of events, the legendary lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry’s final contribution to the Telugu literary and film world through his songs, is out here. As a poignant twist in his illustrious career, it appears that Sirivennela penned only half of this song, as a producers makes a riveting revelation. Back then it was believed that Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy movie has Sirivennela’s last written song, but here goes the twist.
Producer Benny Muppaneni whose film, Karthikeya’s “Bedurulanka 2012” is hitting cinemas this Friday, revealed that the collaborative efforts of Mani Sharma garu, lyric writer Chaitanya Prasad, and Sirivennela have crafted a climax song that is poised to be a fitting finale to the movie. In fact, Sirivennela penned half of the song at the time of his death, and Mani Sharma made sure to get a hold of his notebook, and made Chaitanya Prasad fill the remaining lines.
Sirivennela’s writing legacy has spanned decades, enriching the Telugu film industry with his lyrical prowess, but then Bedurulanka 2012 producer don’t want to promote the song as Sirivennela’s last one, and cash on it. For that reason, they will be releasing the song tune and lyrical video only after the film’s release but not before. Well, in an industry where making money remains to be the top notch priority of many folks, these types of producers stand tall.
