Kerala King Suffering In Telugu!

These are the days when films are standing tall at the box office only for the sake of content but nothing else. However, even at this juncture, if a film has to get humongous openings, surely it should have an enormous buzz in the film circuits. It looks like this big film that is coming from a blockbuster hero is suffering from the lack of it.

After scoring a stupendous runaway hit like “Sita Ramam”, definitely the buzz surrounding Malayalam hero Dulquer Salman’s next movie “King Of Kotha”, which is hitting cinemas on August 25th, ie., this Friday, is quite low.

Despite Dulquer’s promotional campaign with Vijay Devarakonda and then solo interviews, the film hasn’t created superior attention like how Lokesh Kanagaraja’s gangster films do. The pre-bookings of tickets are also not that encouraging.

Of course, there are times when films lack with lack of buzz but if the first-day first-show gets the needed attention then surely they will be making big monies.

We have to see if Dulquer’s King of Kotha will do a similar feat in the theatres. Directed by Abhilash Joshily, the film has Aishwarya Lekshmi of Ponniyan Selvan fame as the leading lady.
