We Dedicate National Award To All Indians: Abhishek Agarwal

The controversial film The Kashmir Files directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Abhishek Agarwal alongside the director bagged the Nargis Dutt Award for the Best Feature Film on National Integration at the 69th National Film Awards on Thursday. Pallavi Joshi too won the award for Best Supporting Actress.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Agarwal addressed the media to thank the people of India for all their support. “We dedicate this award to all the Indians who supported the movie. When people are with you, no one can stop you in doing whatever you want to do. We faced law issues and objections from different individuals, but we never bothered. It is like questioning national integrity, if people question the jury or others over The Kashmir Files winning awards.

Vivek Agnihotri is in the USA. He is very happy. We dedicated this award to Kashmir Pundits and the whole of India who supported us. We didn’t show anyone Muslims in a bad light. We showed what actually happened for Kashmir Pandits.

Vivek is like my brother and he is doing The Vaccine War. We are doing Delhi Files too. I will not enter politics. But I have no qualms to take any posts if offered by the government.

Tiger Nageswara Rao will appeal to the Pan India audience. The movie is gearing up for release on October 20th. The Vaccine War is a bio-science cinema. The genre of this movie is different from Prabhas’ Salaar. Although both the movies are coming on the same day, we shouldn’t see it as a competition, because the targeted audience are different for these two films.”

Abhishek Agarwal hopes Tiger Nageswara Rao too win several awards.
