Ever since ‘Naatu Naatu’ from ‘RRR’ won the Oscar award for the Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards, the song became the talking point globally. While NTR and Ram Charan’s dance moves attracted Hollywood, here is the Korea’s pop sensation K-pop band MustB who publicly expressed interest to work with Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.
The K-Pop group performed at a celebratory concert on Aug 25th to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Korea. The event took place at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. Well-known singer Neeti Mohan has also crooned at the concert. MustB performed on two of their songs – ‘Rush’ and 2020’s ‘Realize’. The pop group impressed everyone with their performance of the BTS song ‘Permission To Dance’. They also performed the hook step of the ‘Naatu Naatu’ from ‘RRR’.
After this concert, MustB expressed desire to collaborate with ‘Naatu Naatu’ singers. Taegeon, Wooyeon, Doha, Soohyun, and Sihoo – five members of MustB told ‘India Today’ about their willingness to work with Neeti Mohan as well as Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Siplingunj of Oscar winning song ‘Naatu Naatu’. They revealed that they had watched the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘3 Idiots’, which they called, “a film with three guys in a college”. They also said that the film is shown to students in their school as a part of education.
MustB is a phenomenon in K-pop. The group made their debut in 2019 as a seven-member group and released their first single album ‘I Want U’. There is no looking back since then. Their open interest to collaborate with Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Siplingunj is certainly a welcome development which opens doors for Telugu and Indian singers to go global.
