Commemorating NTR’s centenary birth anniversary, the Union Government of India is all set to launch a Rs 100 coin featuring him on the other facet of the coin. The front facet will have Three Lions and the Ashoka Chakra and the other side has NTR’s picture with the wording ‘Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Satajayanti’. ‘Centennial Birth Year Of Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’ engraved in English. The coin is marked with the years 1923-2023 to signify NTR’s centenary celebrations.
President Droupadi Murmu is going to unveil the coin in New Delhi. TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, NTR’s daughter and AP BJP chief Purandeswari Daggubati, actor Nandamuri Balakrirshna, and other family members of NTR are going to attend the event. Chandrababu reached New Delhi on Sunday night to grace the do.
However, Jr NTR may not be attending NTR’s Rs 100 coin launch. Tarak is busy with the shooting of Devara, said sources in the know. Earlier for NTR centenary celebrations, Ram Charan was the guest. Jr NTR missed the do. NTR’s wife Lakshmi Parvathi, who is currently serving as the AP Telugu and Sanskrit Academy chairperson, did not receive an invitation. Lakshmi Parvathi also complained to President Murmu and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman but in vain.
Going into the details, the Rs 100 coin has a diameter of 44 mm and is composed of 50 per cent silver, 40 per cent copper, 5 per cent nickel, and 5 per cent zinc. All eyes are on today’s NTR coin launch. TDP wants to show its bond with the BJP at the centre.
