The inevitable has happened. After a huge drop in collections by more than 80 percent on the first Monday, Telugu romantic entertainer Kushi, starring Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha, saw a further slump in the box office numbers on Tuesday as per trade reports. It seems like the Shiva Nirvana directional will end as a loss venture for buyers in most of the territories barring Nizam and USA.
It is a known fact that the film embarked on an impressive start at the box office with close to 30 Crores gross on its opening day. The terrific openings in Nizam and USA helped the film open well despite underwhelming numbers in Ceeded and Andhra regions. With decent numbers on Saturday and Sunday, the film ended the first weekend on a promising note with 70 Crores gross. However, it is required to hold well during weekdays to keep its buyers afloat.
On the crucial first Monday, the collections nosedived drastically and disappointed the trade circles. With a further fall in collections on Tuesday, it looks like the film is going to stare at losses for the most of the parties involved. Moreover, the inclement weather forecast in Telugu States is going to be another dampener for the occupancies in the next couple of days.
With Jawan showing signs of taking a spectacular opening and Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty also set to open on a decent note, it looks like the theatrical run of Kushi is all but coming to a disappointing end after a good start.
