There is a shift in release dates of upcoming movies with the postponement of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s film Salaar. Freshly, Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Sreenu’s Skanda take Salaar’s slot. The movie, billed to be a mass and action entertainer with feel-good emotions, will now hit the screens on September 28th.
On the other hand, Skanda and a couple of other films have also picked the same slot. Kiran Abbavaram’s Rules Ranjan and Sithara’s youthful film MAD are also gearing up for a release on the same day. In fact, the makers of MAD first confirmed the date, after which the other makers also followed. On the 29th, Pedda Kapu Part One is also going to have a release.
Interestingly, this is the best time for the film’s release as it will cash in holidays. The long weekend, followed by the Gandhi Jayanthi (October 2nd) holiday, will favor the movies big time at the ticket window.
Promotional activities were already in full swing for these movies. Among all the films, Skanda is one of the most awaited movies, and it has created a record in pre-release business as well. The theatrical and non-theatrical rights fetched the highest amount for a Ram starrer. The movie being made under Srinivasaa Silver Screen features Sreeleela playing the female lead and Saiee Manjrekar in a vital role.
The rest of the films also seem to be interesting and we have to see which film will emerge as the winner.
