As with many of Ashutosh Gowariker’s films, this project delves into history, focusing on one of South India’s most prominent rulers who held sway over the entire southern region.
According to insiders, Ashutosh Gowariker was adamant about casting a South Indian actor for the role, given the character’s origins and eventual rise to an emperor. Rishab Shetty, with his rustic charm, perfectly fits the bill, making him the ideal choice.
