Kollywood is mourning the untimely demise of the esteemed actor and director, G Marimuthu, at 58. The actor, known for his impactful roles and bold opinions, tragically passed away on September 8, dubbing for a TV show. The actor was last seen in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer.
The tragic incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. today while Marimuthu was diligently dubbing for his television show titled ‘Ethir Neechal.’ Suddenly, he collapsed during the dubbing session, sending shockwaves throughout the studio. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Chennai but was declared dead on arrival.
Some of his memorable performances are in the movies Vaali’, ‘Jeeva,’ ‘Pariyerum Perumal,’ and ‘Jailer,’ among others. G Marimuthu was celebrated for acting and is a YouTube sensation known for sharing his candid and bold opinions on various topics.
In honor of the late actor and director, his body will be moved to his Chennai residence for public homage. Subsequently, his final rites will take place in his hometown of Theni, where he will rest.
