For the second time in a row after the stupendous success of ‘Pathaan’, Superstar Shah Rukh Khan showed his exceptional brilliance as a mass star at the box office. With “Jawan” he is undoing his own previous records with earth-shattering collections as he scored a century in two days already.
After posting ₹65+ crores nett collection on First Day, Jawan didn’t dip much on Friday, though it is not a holiday. The film collected around ₹46+ crores nett with the first shows and second shows getting massive footfalls. Especially in the mass pockets, the film will be creating an ‘arachakam’ of sorts on Saturday and Sunday. So far the film made ₹110+ crores nett, and it will surely hit the double century mark after wrapping the first weekend. It will be no surprise if the film touches the might ₹250 crores nett mark after Sunday’s second show.
Directed by Atlee, and featuring the likes of Nayantara and Vijay Sethupathi as other leads, Shah Rukh Khan’s stellar double-action has impressed even Telugu and Tamil audiences too. The film proved that Bollywood can have a big market down the south if they make the films in the right way.
