Popular Jabardasth anchor Rashmi Gautham minces no words when it comes to expressing her opinions on social media platforms. She usually talks about pets and feminism, but this time, when she spoke highly about ‘Sanatana Dharma’ and the need to stand by it, she got brutally trolled in no time. When a user asked her, “If skin show is part of Sanatana Dharma as she exposed a lot of it in her recent movie Boys Hostel”, pat came the reply.
“Kamasutra was part of culture. And what skin show are you talking about? Pls go thru how we used to dress before the invasions happened. How or what Hindu girls wore was the least of all concerns. We were never this shallow. What ever restrictions we face now are man made and has nothing to do with Hindu religion or sanatan dharma” (sic) said Rashmi, quickly dismissing the comment that heroines talking about ‘Sanatana Dharma’ should stop doing skin show first.
Many supporters of Hinduism and Sanatana Dharma have stood by Rashmi however, asking her not to be involved in discussions with these pseudo-intelligents who are pointing fingers at her for condemning the remarks made by a neighbouring state hero. On the other hand, regarding the comment that social injustice won’t happen with Sanatana Dharma, the actress quickly reacts, “Reservations were already given”.
