The much-anticipated sequel to Aquaman is on the horizon, and the makers treated with an intriguing trailer. The trailer features the return of Jason Momoa as the iconic aquatic hero and provides a glimpse into his journey from being a ‘wanderer’ to ascending as the King of Atlantis.
The trailer introduces the Black Manta, portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as the formidable foe that Aquaman will confront. Alongside Momoa, the trailer also showcases returning cast members such as Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Temuera Morrison, Willem Dafoe, and Dolph Lundgren, reprising their roles from the original film.
The film’s sequel highlights Black Manta’s relentless pursuit of vengeance against Aquaman, driven by his quest to avenge his father’s death after failing to defeat Aquaman previously.
The sequel’s focus was always intended to be on the relationship between Arthur and Orm, and we have to see how this action adventure is going to impress the audiences.
Produced by Peter Safran, James Wan, and Rob Cowan, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is set to hit theaters on December 20, 2023.
