SRK Reiterates ‘Dunki’ Release Date

Published by

Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is riding on the crest of a success wave after delivering back-to-back blockbusters in a year with Pathaan and Jawan. While Pathaan emerged as the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time, Jawan is now on track to break those records with its stupendous run in all territories.

Meanwhile, the anticipation for Shah Rukh’s next film ‘Dunki’ has just started to intensify among audience and trade circles because many are expecting another crowd-pleasing blockbuster from him. As Dunki has ace filmmaker Raj Kumar Hirani at the helm, there are massive expectations everywhere and it has a good chance to take another earth-shattering opening at the box office.

Rumours are rife till now that Dunki might be postponed to early 2024. Putting an end to all speculations, Shah Rukh Khan, in his media interaction earlier today, reiterated that Dunki will hit the screens on December 22nd as a Christmas treat.

Shah Rukh said God has been kinder to him because he scored a massive hit with Pathaan which was released for Republic Day. He added God has been even more kinder as he bagged a bigger hit with Jawan on Janmashtami festival. He then said Dunki would be arriving for Christmas.

It is quite rare for a top-league actor in the present scenario to have three big-ticket releases in a single year. If Dunki emerges as a blockbuster akin to that of Pathaan and Jawan, he will script history by becoming the first hero of the country to deliver a hat-trick of industry hits in the same year.

Dunki is reportedly based on the illegal Indian immigrants based in USA and Canada. It will be high on comedy and drama with a fair dose of patriotism infused into the narrative.
