South actors are gearing up for their pan-India debuts. Some of them, like Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Rakshit Shetty, and others, have cracked the formula already. Actors like Dulquer Salmaan made attempt, but it did not result in success. Now, Suriya is also on the same path but what’s setting him different from others is the approach he has taken.
Usually, the actors do films in their regional languages and opt for a release at the pan-India level. But, Suriya’s next level approach is making his debut in Bollywood itself, which will give him a wide range of appeal. Not stopping there, he’s considering the epic Mahabharata tale for his pan-India debut which itself is going to give him universal appeal.
Suriya is preparing to collaborate with renowned Bollywood director Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra, known for directing successful films like “Rang De Basanti” and “Bhaag Milka Bhaag.” Their upcoming project, tentatively titled “Karna,” will be a pan-India production with Surya in the lead role.
Efforts are reportedly being made to create this film as a two-part epic on a substantial budget. While an official announcement is yet to be made, Suriya is currently busy with the shoot of Kanguva. Additionally, he also has a film with Sudha Kongara.
