During the 90s, when the likes of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna were ruling the roost, their films used to come almost every year. There are times when the heroes used to have two releases each year. But now, some star heroes take 2-3 years to come up with a movie, and sometimes they do it back to back. Here’s an interesting comparison being heard right now.
Back in 2015, we had the top stars of Tollywood including Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan who knocked on the screens with their respective movies. They had the likes of Srimanthudu, Gopala Gopala, Baahubali 1, Temper, S/o Satyamurthy and Bruce Lee released in 2015 and later, all these heroes never said hello to fans and theatres in the same year. And now, it’s going to be repeated in 2024.
We have the likes of Guntur Kaaram, #OG, Kalki 2898 AD, Devara, Pushpa 2 and Game Changer planning to hit cinemas in 2024, which puts all the star heroes of the Telugu industry out there in the market in the same calendar year after a long time. If we consider the presence of Megastar Chiru in Bruce Lee, then he too will be enthralling with #Mega157 in 2024 itself. That’s a great bonanza for movie lovers, and surely Tollywood is kicked up about it.
