The ‘Madhapur Drugs Case’ has taken an interesting turn with the Narcotics Bureau getting the High Court’s support to serve notices to hero Navdeep under Section 41A Cr PC. And with that notice, Navdeep has to appear before the Bureau for questioning on September 23rd, otherwise, things will take a more drastic turn. At this juncture, the arrest rumours are now triggering panic in Tollywood.
Despite being summoned by the Narcotics Bureau of Hyderabad, if Navdeep evades questioning and fails to appear before the police, then he will be likely arrested. While police want to question the actor for consuming narcotics and other banned isotropic substances, his way of misleading the public with his Twitter statements and then applying for bail has led to unwanted doubts now. In case if his links are established to the drug peddling business, then the actor might face the music.
Earlier the drugs case investigated by Hyderabad stunned Tollywood with the likes of Raviteja, Puri Jagan, Charmme, Rakul Preet and others summoned for questioning. With Navdeep’s name popping up now, Tollywood is worried more other names will be called by the police. To date, no biggie from Tollywood was actually arrested by the police in connection with narcotics cases, but if that happens, then it becomes a prestige issue for the film industry.
We have to see what happens on Saturday and whether Navdeep will appear before the police or not. Reports are coming that the actor is in consultation with some top lawyers and is taking a legal route to face the Bureau.
