Nayanthara tasted great success with her latest film, Jawan, which marked her grand debut in Hindi cinema. Now, she will work on an upcoming film, a debut directorial project by YouTuber Dude Vicky. The film unit unveiled a motion poster the other day, and the project has been titled ‘Mannangatti,’ and its tagline, ‘Mannangatti since 1960.’
The motion poster features a temple and a Lady Justice statue, providing fans with subtle clues about the film’s narrative. In addition to Nayanthara, ‘Mannangatti’ will feature Yogi Babu and Gouri G Kishan in pivotal roles. The film’s shooting is scheduled to commence soon, with RD Rajasekhar handling the cinematography and Sean Roldan composing the music.
It is indeed a surprising move by Nayanthara to collaborate with a new director right after the success of a big Hindi film. She gets offers from Hindi cinema, but Nayan’s priority is Kollywood. More surprisingly, she is willing to work with newcomers.
On the other hand, she is also working on Iraivan, Test, and another untitled project in Tamil.
