Rakul Preet Singh is one of the star heroines in South Cinema. She debuted in Telugu cinema and ventured into Tamil as well as Hindi film industries. Initially, Rakul did not receive a grand welcome from Bollywood but sometime back, she paused her career in the South to focus on Hindi films. However, it backfired as the actress tasted 7 flops in a row. Now, she is back in the South.
Rakul Preet Singh’s next film is a Tamil movie starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The film is directed by R Ravikumar and it will also be released in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Titled Ayalan in both Telugu and Tamil, the film’s title translates to ‘Alien’.
Rakul Preet Singh was last seen in the Telugu film Kondapolam, released in 2021. Her last Tamil theatrical release is Suriya’s NGK which was released in 2019. Although she had a OTT release BOO (Tamil and Telugu), it could not meet the success.
On the other hand, the actress did Hindi films Attack, Runway34, Cutputtli, Doctor G, Thank God, I Love You, and Chhatriwali. All of them failed big time in meeting the expectations of the fans and audiences.
