Ram Pothineni and Boyapati Sreenu’s action-packed extravaganza, “Skanda,” slowed down at the box office. After a spectacular opening day, the film’s second-day collections bring in a big disappointment.
“Skanda” had already set a high bar with its record-breaking opening day collections, becoming the best opening in Ram Pothineni’s career. The film opened to a resounding success, raking in a share of Rs. 8.62 crores on the first day in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.
The second day, however, proved that the film’s appeal seems to be coming down. It collected a share of Rs. 3.49 crores on the second day. As the film moves into the weekend and a national holiday on Monday (Gandhi Jayanti), the makers expect the film’s collections to gain momentum.
Here’s a breakdown of the second-day share collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana:
-Nizam: Rs. 1.52 crores
-Ceded: Rs. 54 lakhs
-Visakhapatnam: Rs. 41 lakhs
-East Godavari: Rs. 27 lakhs
-West Godavari: Rs. 17 lakhs
-Krishna: Rs. 16 lakhs
-Guntur: Rs. 29 lakhs
-Nellore: Rs. 13 lakhs
Total Share for Both Days: Rs. 12.11 Crores
“Skanda” features talented actors such as Ram Pothineni, Sreeleela, and Saiee Manjrekar.
