Nayanthara is trending in Bollywood currently as there have been multiple speculations that she has been approached for a significant role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, “Baiju Bawra.” The South Indian actress, who recently made her Bollywood debut with “Jawan,” is said to be considering the offer but has yet to make her decision.
If this turns out to be real, it would be a great opportunity for Nayanthara to make it big in Bollywood. The actress was reportedly seen at the filmmaker’s office earlier this year, and this adds fuel to these speculations.
“Baiju Bawra” was originally made in 1952 by director Vijay Bhatt and featured Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari in the lead roles. The story revolves around a young musician named Baiju who challenges the famous maestro Tansen in Mughal Emperor Akbar’s court to a musical duel in order to avenge his father’s death.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film adaptation is expected to feature Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. We have to see if Nayan comes on board for the same.
